Starship

Starship: The Most Powerful and Largest Reusable Spacecraft

Starship is a type of spacecraft developed by Elon Musk's company SpaceX. It is the most powerful and largest spacecraft ever built, capable of carrying up to 150,000 kilograms and expandable to accommodate up to 250,000 kilograms if needed.

Testing of Starship

The fourth test of Starship was launched from Boca Chica, Texas, Mexico, on June 6, 2024, at 6:20 PM local time.

The objective of this test was to determine if Starship could survive re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. The test was successful.

During this test:

  • The Super Heavy booster rocket successfully splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico.
  • The Starship (payload) successfully splashed down in the Indian Ocean.

The three previous tests were:

  1. April 21, 2023: First unsuccessful test.
  2. November 18, 2023: Second unsuccessful test.
  3. March 14, 2024: Third unsuccessful test.
